According to reports, a case has been registered with the Economic Offence Wing (EOW) of Odisha police, basing on which a probe has been launched by the EOW and cyber cell of the police.

Meanwhile, the cyber fraudsters have duped Rs 1.39 crore from several residents of Bhubaneswar in the last month, informed the police.
According to police, the cyber crooks duped Rs 1,39,60,479 in February, 2022. Out of the total recovered amount, Rs 10,52,802 have refunded to the victim while the rest, Rs 12,73,483 have been blocked by the police.
Besides, the cyber helpline desk had received 254 calls, reporting cyber frauds.
