The party’s core committee met first. A meeting of the party functionaries was held on the first day as part of the State executive meeting. Executive members’ meeting will be held tomorrow.
The meeting presided over by State president Samir Mohany was attended by BJP Odisha in-charge D Purandeswari and Assistant Odisha in-charge Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, Leader of Opposition Pradeepta Kumar Naik, senior leader KV Singh Deo and Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi.
Purandeswari and Tomar held discussions on various issues with the party functionaries. They advised them to bring various people’s problems to the fore and place them before the State Government for solution. They were also advised to continue staging agitations until the problems haven’t been resolved.
Discussions were held in detail to make strategies to strengthen party organisations in view of ensuring municipal and panchayat elections and Pipili Assembly seat by-poll.
Issues relating to farmers, deteriorating law and order situation, border disputes, State Government’s failures in education and health sectors, women safety, irregularities in execution of Central schemes and unemployment were discussed in detail
BJP State vice-presidents, general secretaries, secretaries, district pravari attended the meeting. All MPs and MLAs will attend the meeting on the second day.
