Bhubaneswar, Feb 13: The BJP on Saturday said it would soon constitute a border protection cell to examine security issues of border areas of Odisha.
“The State Government has completely failed to protect border areas of undivided Koratput and Ganjam districts. The Andhra Pradesh Government is holding elections in border areas of Odisha. While our party leader had earlier lodged a complaint before the concerned district Collector regarding the matter, the Collector said that no election was being held. But now Andhra Pradesh is holding elections in Manikapatana village under Gangabada gram panchayat in Gajapati district,” rued BJP State president Samir Mohanty.
To examine the issues, the BJP would constitute a border protection cell to examine safety of border areas.
