Bhubaneswar, Apr 29: Amidst surge in Corona cases in the State capita Bhubaneswar, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials sealed the State Bank of India (SBI)-Centralised Pension Processing Centre (CCPC) located in Kharavel Nagar on Thursday.
The bank located close to Sriya Square reported a number of Covid-19 positive cases in past couple of days.
Releasing a statement soon after the sealing of the bank, the BMC informed that the closure would remain in place from April 29-May 2. The decision has been taken in large public interest and to check the virus from spreading its tentacles further, it added.
During the sealing period, the premises of the CCPC will be sanitized by the Head of the office. Entry and exit of people, except BMC staff, will remain prohibited at the premise during these four days.
The Head of the office of CCPC has been told to intimate the health condition of the infected staff to BMC regularly as they have been placed under home isolation.
