Describing the budget for 2022-23 as a big letdown, BJP's chief whip in the Odisha assembly Mohan Charan Majhi said there is nothing new in it.
“It is a politically motivated budget. The budget is quite disappointing as there is nothing new in it. There is no provision for creating revenue. The government has presented an old budget in a new way,” Majhi said.
Similarly, Congress has also hit out at BJD government over the budget 2022-23.
“There are no new schemes for poor people of the State. There is no outlay for the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY),” Congress MLA Mohammed Moquim said.
However, the ruling BJD has hailed the budget. “This is the number one budget of the number one CM. Focus has been given to all the sectors,” BJD MLA Rajkishore Das said.
