Acting on information, the businessman, Manoranjan Samantaray, was returning home after locking his grocery shop when four masked miscreants chased him and fired at him at Baghamari Bazaar road at around 10 pm yesterday. As he fell down, the miscreants snatched away a money bag from him. The money bag contained Rs 70,000. Manoranjan was injured in the leg.
On being informed, police rushed him to the Khurda DHH first and then shifted to the AIIMS Bhubaneswar. Further investigations are on, said police.
