According to information, Padma Shri Pattanayak and Lalatendu Das Mohapatra had had an agreement with Dutta for digitisation of the manuscript and publication of the Byasakabi’s autobiography, “Mo Jeevan”. However, Dutta approached the Commercial Court with an allegation that the agreement was violated by Pattanayak. She urged the court to declare that she and other descendants of the poet are the custodian and the rightful owners of the manuscript and direct Pattanayak not to publish the autobiography and return the digitized manuscripts to her.
Conducting a hearing, the court had also imposed an interim stay on the publication. Today, the court conducted the final hearing, asking Pattanayak to handover both handwritten and digitized manuscripts to the granddaughter of Pattanayak.
