Bhubaneswar, Mar 6: The Odisha Cabinet on Saturday approved a Cadre rule for rehabilitation professionals having framed with nomenclature, “Odisha Disability Rehabilitation Service (Method of Recruitment and Condition of Service of the staff in the District Disability Rehabilitation Centres under the control of Social Security and Employment of Persons with Disability Department) Rules 2021.
As per the rules, a cadre of rehabilitation professionals will be created in the District Disability Rehabilitation Centres. The cadre will comprise 64 rehabilitation professionals in eight DDRCs, situated in Khurdha, Kalahandi, Sambalpur, Kandhamal, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Ganjam and Nabarangpur.
Existing 37 rehabilitation professionals working in DDRCs will be deemed to be regular Government employees in the newly created cadre.
