CM unveils State’s largest Gandhi statue in Cuttack

Cuttack, Apr 1: Thursday unveiled the State’s largest bronze statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Gopabandhu Square here on the auspicious occasion of the Utkal Divas on Thursday.

The image depicts the meeting held by Mahatma Gandhi and other legendaries on the Kathojodi riverbed 100 years ago on March 23, 1921. Sculptor Laxmidhar Rana has made the Gandhi statue, which is 25 ft wide and 12 height.

Besides, the Chief Minister also opened a statue of Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das at Cantonment Road in the city.
