Bhubaneswar, Feb 12: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday urged the Central Government to immediately withdraw National Monument Authority (NMA) draft bylaws on the Ananta Basudev and Brahmeswar Temples of Ekamra Kshetra (Bhubaneswar).
“The Central Government should immediately withdraw the draft bylaws on Ananta Basudev and Brahmeswar Temple of Ekamra Kshetra. It would have been appropriate for Central agencies to take the State into confidence on sensitive religious issues,” tweeted the Chief Minister.
He too appealed to all the MPs from Odisha to take up this sensitive matter with the Union Government.
“I appealed to all the MPs from Odisha to take up this sensitive matter with the Union Government and Prahlad Singh Patel, as it involves the sentiments of lakhs of devotees of Odisha, lives and livelihood of sebayats, linked to the smooth conduct of Nitis of Lord Lingaraj,” added the CM.
