Bhubaneswar, Jun 5: The Odisha Government will form an expert committee in 15 days to decide evaluation criteria for assessment of marks of Class-XII students, said School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash here on Saturday.
“In view of Covid pandemic situation, the Chief Minister has ordered cancellation of Class-XII board examination and formation of expert committed for assessment of marks. The committee comprising senior educationists and CHSE officials will be formed within 15 days to place an objective criterion for assessment of marks,” said the Minister.
It may be noted that the Chief Minister ordered cancellation of the Plus Two examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) for this year, stressing that the life of students is more important than examination.
Three days earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had ordered cancellation of Class 12th Board Examinations conducted by the CBSE and the CISCE in the wake of COVID-19 infections across the country.
Dash said the expert committee would go through the evaluation policy of CBSE and CISCE to decide on criteria for assessment of marks.
