Bhubaneswar, Apr 27: In view of unabated upsurge in Covid cases in Odisha, various organisations and associations have come forward to contribute to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for combating the pandemic.
The MGM Group donated Rs 1 crore the CMRF for utilization for COVID19 free vaccination, scheduled to begin on May 1. Company Chairman Pankaj Lochan Mohanty & Director Saroj Ray handed over a cheque of the amount to Chief Secretary SC Mohapatra today.
Later on the day, Members of IAS Association of Odisha announced to contribute at least one day's salary to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) as a token of support for combating the pandemic in the State.
It may be noted that many organisations and associations had contributed to the CMRF for combating Covid last year after an appeal made by the Chief Minister.
