The Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has directed the transport department to set up Boder Check Points at strategic vantage points and scrutinize the influx of people through vehicles.
“ People coming to Odisha by any public transport like train, bus, flight or water ways or by any private vehicles have to produce RT-PCR negative report obtained within 72 hrs of entry / final vaccination certificate (after two doses of vaccination). People coming without such report shall have to undergo 7 days mandatory Home/ Institutional quarantine,” read the order issued by SRC.
Meanwhile, Odisha Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra urged the Chairman of Railway Board to cancel all passenger-carrying trains coming from Chhattisgarh (originating/ through passing) to Odisha from April 10.
Odisha reported as many as 879 Covid-19 positive cases today, taking the active cases of the State to 4,888.
