Bhubaneswar, May 17: To check spread of Covid 19 infection, a house-to-house survey will be conducted by ASHA workers in Odisha for three months from May 24.
The ASHA workers will search for persons with Covid symptoms and co-morbid conditions across the State.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced this at an all-party meeting presided over by Speaker SN Patro here today. The CM said ASHA workers will be provided with an additional incentive of Rs 1,000 per month for the survey.
It was decided that a taskforce comprising experts will be formed to chalk out master plan to combat the coronaviurs in the long run.
Gaon Kalyan Samitis will be involved in Covid management work. Each Samiti will be given Rs 10,000 each to carry out Covid-related activities at their respective villages , said the Chief Minister.
He also announced that the State Government would provide pension to women who have lost husbands and the children who have become orphan due to Covid under the Madhubabu Pension Yojana.
