The deceased have been identified as Rudra Prakash Bhoi of Sumandi village and Sonali Barik of Khalarda village under Cuttack Sadar police limits in the district. They both were reportedly in love with each other.
As per reports, some locals spotted the bodies hanging from the ceiling at the verandah of Sankhatras High School, and alerted the police in this regard.
On being informed, Cuttack Sadar Police reached the spot and took the bodies into custody for autopsy.
“The bodies will be handed over to their respective family after post-mortem,” Police said. “Further investigation is on”.
It is suspected the love birds might have committed suicide.
However, the family members of the deceased alleged that the duo have been killed by miscreants as their hands were seen tied from the back.
