Squally winds, speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph is likely to prevail along & off North Andhra Pradesh–Odisha coasts during next 12 hours. It will gradually increase becoming 55-65 gusting to 75 kmph till morning of 5th and squally winds 50-60 kmph gusting to 70 kmph from 5th morning till afternoon. It would decrease thereafter gradually, the bulletin added.
Under its influence, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in Odisha, parts of Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal in the next few days.
The IMD issued red warning of extremely heavy rainfall in two districts of Odisha i.e. Puri and Jagatsinghpur during next 24 hours and orange warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in eight districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Khordha, Ganjam, Gajapati, and Jajpur.
The weathermen also issued yellow warning of heavy rainfall for the districts of Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj during next 24 hours.
