The held accused duo has been identified as Sushant Rout and Laxminarayan Alatia. Both are residents of Bhagabatiprasad village under Odagaon Police Station.
On May 16, the victim identified as Sanjit Mallick, son of Bibekanant Mallick of Bhubaneswar was returning home from Kandhamal post attending a marriage function. Near Rohibanka of Odagaon, Sushant and Laxminarayan accompanied by another aide waylaid Sanjit and drugged him.
The accused trio took the victim to Godimada forest and left there after snatching his mobile phone, bike and other valuables.
Sanjit’s father lodged a complaint in connection with the loot after he regained consciousness and somehow managed to return.
While Sushant and Laxminarayan have been nabbed efforts are underway to trace the third accused namely Ashok Behera, who is still at large, said police.
