Bhubaneswar, Mar 7: Residents of Bhubaneswar are witnessing a different kind of weather nowadays. While dense fog keeps covering the city till 8 am, a part of the day from 11 am to 3 pm remains to be a hot cauldron.
On Sunday, traffic movement was disrupted due to low visibility caused by layers of dense fog in most parts of the city. Those attending morning offices and school and college students faced difficulties the most. The visibility reduced to below 50 metres.
According to the IMD, Bhubaneswar was the hottest city in the country on Sunday. It recorded the highest temperature at 40.5 degree Celsius. The weather will remain dry in coming four to five days and there would be no change in weather condition, said the weather office. The day temperature will remain 3 to 4 degree Celsius more than the normal temperature.
