The SRC wrote to the concerned district Collectors and SPs in this regard. The letter mentioned that weather bulletin of the India Meteorological Department has predicted dense fog to occur in the early morning in districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Boudh, Sonepur, Bargarh and Nayagrah.
“Police and transport officials of respective districts may take necessary steps for controlled plying of vehicles on highways during dense fog to avoid any road accident,” the SRC letter read.
