Puri, Feb 10: Devotees of Lord Jagannath have now a strong reason to be happy as they will be allowed entry to Shreemandir and have darshan of the Trinity every day henceforth. They will even be allowed to have Mahaprasad in the Anand Bazaar from February 12 (Friday).
The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration has taken this decision in consultation with devotees and other stakeholders. While the temple premises will be sanitized each alterative night (three times a week) in view of prevailing Covid pandemic, devotees will be allowed entry and darshan of Lord Jagannath on all days, including Sundays.
Notably, the shrine was being shut on Sundays for sanitization. Anand Bazaar, where Mahaprasad is sold o devotees, was not opened for devotees.
Devotees are also happy that they can have darshan of rare Padma Vesha of the deities on the Sanctum Santorum on coming Sunday.
Meanwhile, the administration has put a restriction on use of plastic inside the temple premises. Anybody found with any kind of plastic will be fined Rs 100, according to the decision.
