He too thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this reassuring announcement and for his proactive leadership in dealing with the situation and ensuring that India's fight against Covid19 progresses with a steady pace with the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat for a Covid-free India.
Earlier, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had also hailed the DGCI decision.
“Congratulate Serum Institute of India as the Covishield vaccine manufactured by it has been recommended for emergency use authorisation in India. Hopeful that this will be a gamechanger. Odisha is prepared.
“Congratulate Bharat Biotech as ‘Covaxin’ vaccine is recommended by Subject Expert Committee (SEC) on Covid19 for emergency use authorisation in India. This will strengthen the vaccination effort for entire country,” tweeted the CM.
