Durga Puja has a special place in the historical city of Cuttack. A controversy erupted here regarding the celebration of Puja celebration a few days ago which led to protests and agitations on the height of statue and the rituals which still continues, posted Prdhan on his Twitter handle.
Different opinions are coming from Cuttack Sahi Committees, Puja Committees, intellectuals, and various cultural and social organizations. I hope that the state government will take this issue seriously and hold discussion with everyone again, keeping in mind the feelings of the people of Cuttack and arrange for the worship of the Maa Durga in a disciplined manner, the post added.
It seems that the impact of the Covid epidemic has dissipated to some extent. The issue needs to be resolved through dialogue and focus should be shifted to Durga Puja celebration in a disciplined manner with adherence to Covid-19 protocol, the Union Minister insisted.
