Bhubaneswar, Feb 23: At a time when many quarters have questioned the efficacy of SIT probe in the sensitive Paree abduction and murder case, a video received by the Argus News has shown that an Army jawan appealing to the court and the Chief Minister to disengage all sniffer dogs and instead employ Arun Bothra -like officers “who have more sniffing power” in the police department.
“Odisha Police, SP and sniffer dogs could not reach the spot and nab the culprit involved in the Paree killing case. However, Bothra sir could do it. Then what is the need of keeping sniffer dogs in police department. Sniffer dogs should be disengaged and more officers like Arun Bothra sir should be employed. Thus, unnecessary expenditure can be checked,” said the man in Indian Army dress in the video.
He made an appeal to the court and the Odisha Chief Minister in support of his demand.
