Cuttack, Feb 9: A telephonic conversation between Mahanga double murder accused Prafulla Biswal and his son, that came to the fore this morning, fuelled more speculations to alleged foul plays behind the former’s mysterious death. Prafulla had allegedly told his son not to blame anybody if he dies in a road accident.
Prafulla had talked to his son over telephone at 7.09 am on January 5 before he was found dead on a road in Tangi area and it was his last call.
“Father told me that he was in tension and if he dies in a road accident I should tell my mother not to blame anybody,” said his son. Prafulla enquired about other family members during the conversation, he said.
It may be noted that Ramakant Baral, son of slain Kulamani, had mentioned in an FIR that Prafulla had talked to him and requested for his family’s safety. “I have been put in a trap by the Minister. For him, I was indulged in three murders. I seek your support for my family’s safety.” Baral quoted Prafulla saying to him over phone prior to his death on February 5.
