After receipt of heavy rain-warning message from the State Relief Commissioner, district Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange reviewed the preparation level for combating possible situation.
According to the SRC, Ganjam and neigbouring Gajapati may face heavy rainfall from September 25 to 28. The collector advised people to avoid low level areas and to stay away from water bodies like rivers and ponds.
The Collector has also cancelled leave applications of all Government officers in the district. Tehsildars have been alerted against the ensuing rainfall and wind blow that may cause flooding, water logging, damages etc.
