Bhubaneswar, Mar 18: The BJP on Thursday asked the State Government to refrain from selling land of Lord Jagannath in different district, or else it would take to streets in nook and corner of the State.
“The State Government is trying to sell out 35,000 acres of land in various districts of Odisha. We strongly oppose this move. The Government should refrain from this. It has conspired to stop Rath Yatra. It had done Brahma Bibhrat. Keys of the Ratna Bhandar had been lost. We have been opposing all these. Some non-Odia people who don’t understand Jagannath culture are ruling the State,” alleged BJP State general secretary Lekhasri Samantsinghar.
Samantsinghar said this basing on the Law Minsiter’s reply to a related question of BJP member Mohan Charan Majhi.
She threatened that the BJP will take to the streets if the Government doesn’t refrain from selling land of Lord Jagannath.
