“The daily number of Covid19 recoveries is reported less than the number of new positive cases for a few days now. It is worrisome. Besides, increase in daily infection cases in States like Kerala and Karnataka has added to the apprehension of emergence of the third wave of the virus,” said Dr Mishra.
Dr Mishra stressed on making micro containment zones. “If a Covid19 positive case is detected from a family, the entire compound of the concerned family needs to be sealed,” suggested Dr Mishra.
He expressed deep apprehension that Covid19 cases would rise if spectators in cinema halls and Jadras (open pendal theaters) don’t follow Covid19 safety protocols.
Dr Mishra’s suggestions assume significance in vies of a new unlocking process began in the State on Sunday. As per the new unlocking process, the State Government has allowed operation of cinema halls and Jatra parties with 50% of seat capacity and strict adherence to other Covid safety norms.
