In view of the prevailing weather condition, the meteorological department has issued Yellow Warning for five districts of the state including Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam and Gajapati districts, which would witness heavy rains from October 19.
Similarly, an ‘Orange Warning’ was also issued to Ganjam and Gajapati districts for October 20 predicting heavy rains.
The Ganjam District Collector has asked officials to remain prepared for the situation. All district administration officials and staff have been ordered not to leave headquarters.
