“The BJD has no issue now. Thus, it has made Lekhasri an issue. Those are disrespecting me by terming me as a sister of Kalapahada, they are real Kalapadas for the State. They have pushed the Odisha’s economy back to 20 years. The BJD has been reactive as we want to know what the State Government has done for the State during the last 20 years,” said Samantsinghar.
Regarding her statement, Samantsinghar said she has raised the development issue of Odisha only. The BJD is getting pain as I asked to know why Puri could not be made world famous during the last 20 years. Really, they are Kalapahadas for the State. They are targeting us to cover up their own faults. I have not committed any mistake. Odisha’s development is always a priority for us. We will do everything for development of the State,” contended the saffron party leader.
Earlier in the day, BJD MLA Pramila Mallick had criticised Samantsinghar for her positive observation on BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra’s participation in the general election, 2019 as a candidate for the Puri Lok Sabha seat.
“Lekhasri should tender an apology for her innocence and stubbornness,” Mallick demanded, adding, “Why the BJD will target Lekhasri? The BJD will not hesitate to target those who will disrespect Odisha and its culture and Lord Jagannath.”
