Leader of Opposition in Odisha Assembly Pradipta Naik to be discharged in 3-4 days, says AIIMS Bhubanewar Superintendent Sachidananda Mohanty
Bhubaneswar, Jun 20: Bhawanipatna BJP MLA and Leader of Opposition in Odisha Legislative Assembly (OLA) Pradipta Kumar Naik, who has been undergoing treatment for Covid at the AIIMS for about two months now, is very likely to be discharged soon.
AIIMS, Bhubaneswar Superintendent Sachidananda Mohanty said Naik is recovering fast and he will be discharged in the next three to four days.
Sources said Naik, whose condition was critical a month back, has started talking to doctors and attendants. He tested Covid negative 15 days back. He is now doing fine.
It may be noted that Prime Minister’s Office, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union Minister Dharemnera Pradhan had been in touch with AIIMS doctors and enquiring about Naik’s health condition at regular intervals. All required supports were provided to the AIIMS by both Union and State Governments for treatment of Naik.
