The LOPA is likely to become more marked and move west-northwestwards towards south Odisha and north Coastal Andhra Pradesh coast during subsequent 4-5 days, said the latest bulletin.
Meanwhile, the IMD issued a yellow warning of thunderstorm and lightning for several districts of Odisha for next two days.
The Met Centre issued yellow weather alert for the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj till 8.30 am of Saturday.
It also predicted thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada and Gajapati from 8.30 am of Saturday to 8.30 am of Sunday.
In Odisha, the highest maximum temperature of 36.2 degree Celsius was recorded at Jharsuguda and the lowest minimum temperature of 20.5 degree Celsius was recorded at Malkangiri today.
