Light rains are expected in various parts of the state due to low pressure created in the Bay of Bengal. As a result, it is expected to rain more during Durga Puja. South Odisha districts have been warned of heavy rains.
Yesterday the epicentre was reported below the Pacific Ocean floor, however; no tsunami alert was issued. The pressure is likely to intensify in the next 24 hours. The meteorological department has forecast light pressure for the next 48 hours in northwest for the next three days.
