Angul, Feb 16: At least one person was killed after his bike hit a road guard wall near Khinda village on National Highway-53 under Chhendipada area in Angul district last night.
The deceased has been identified as Gourang Nayak, a resident of Kantabahal village of Boudh district.
As per the report, Gourang had been to a neighbouring village on Khinda to attend a marriage feast yesterday and returning late in the night when the mishap took place.
Due to reckless driving on the Rengali-Budhapal stretch of the highway, his bike ended up hitting a guard wall to suffer a crash.
While Gourang sustained grievous injury in the crash and died on the spot, Rengali Police sent his body for autopsy by reaching the spot later.
