ମୟୁରଭଞ୍ଜ ଜିଲ୍ଲା କରଞ୍ଜିଆ ଥାନା ସାନଦେଉଳି ନିକଟରେ ସଡକ ଦୁର୍ଘଟଣା
Puri, Feb 10: A barbaric incident has come to the where a youth was alleged hacked to death by none other than his elder brother, sister-in-law and nephew at Naiguna village under Astaranga block in Puri district in the broad daylight yesterday.
The deceased has been identified as Bichitra Pradhan. Family feud is said to have led to the ghastly incident.
According to information, Duryodhan Pradhan along with his wife and son kept beating Bichitra black and blue even as he ran for safety. Bichitra, who was drunk at that time, fell on an agriculture field and cried for water. Even though villagers witnessed the heinous incident, nobody from them came to his rescue and gave water to him. After a few minutes, Bichitra breathed his last.
On being informed, Kakatpur police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem.
After registering a case, the police have started further investigations. Latest reports said Bichitra’s sister-in-law has surrendered to the police while others have fled the village.
