According to the information, the victim, identified as Hema Bag married Sudhir Bag 11 years ago and has two daughters out of wedlock. Sudhir, however, suspects his wife of having extramarital affairs and quarrelled with her over the issue frequently. Following the repeated fight with her husband, Hema left her in-law’s house and was staying in her parent’s house in Bahabal village.
On Friday, Sudhir reached the village and argued with her. Later, the verbal spat took an ugly turn when Sudhir attempted to his wife by slitting her throat.
Immediately, Hema’s family members rushed her to a nearby government hospital and then she was shifted to Bhima Bhoi Medical College & Hospital in Balangir as her condition worsened. She was undergoing treatment till the last report came in.
While Sudhir is on after attacking her wife, no police complaint was filed so far.
