The held accused has been identified as Biswajit Jena.
As per the allegation against Jena, he had installed an energizer for the solar fencing at his mango orchard in the village to keep wild elephants at bay which later proved fatal for a jumbo.
Last Sunday the jumbo reportedly tried to sneak into his orchard but got electrocuted to death in the attempt. Later Forest Department officials found that the energizer the accused used to supply power to the fence was above the recommended voltage limit.
Against the recommended 9,000 Kv Jena was using 20,000 Kv capacity energizer, a Forest Department informed.
Within next 2-3 days all the energizers used by the farmers in the area will be checked. Those would be seized if found above the recommended capacity, another officials said.
