The deceased duo has been identified as the residents of the same locality.
As per the report, the woman who had been married off to a youth in Sinapalli village in Nuapada district a month ago was allegedly having an extramarital affair. She finally eloped with her paramour 15 days back.
While both the parents and in-laws made a frantic search for the woman, she remained untraceable along with her paramour till today morning when a group of locals found them hanging to a tree in Saradhapur village.
Chandahandi Police reached the spot and recovered the bodies for autopsy of late.
Further investigation is underway into the suicide.
