Bhubaneswar, Dec 12: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Regional Centre, Bhubaneswar on Saturday issued warning of dense fog at several places in Odisha during next two days.
The Met Dept issued yellow warning of dense fog for several districts during the period.
As per the latest bulletin of the IMD, weather forecast and warning for districts of Odisha are as follows:
Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Nayagarh, Khordha, Boudh, Kandhamal and Rayagada till 8.30 AM of Sunday. Yellow warning has been issued for these nine districts in this regard.
Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at a few places over Kandhamal, Boudh, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput and the coastal districts of the State on Sunday morning, the bulletin said.
Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nayagarh, Boudh, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kandhamal, Rayagada and Koraput from 8.30 AM of Sunday till 8.30 AM of Monday. Yellow warning has been issued for these seven districts during the period.
Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Rayagada, Kandhamal, Koraput, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and at one or two places over the districts of Khordha, Puri, Kendrapara Bhadrak, Kalahandi, Boudh on Monday morning, the bulletin added.
Today, the highest maximum temperature of 32.5 degree Celsius was recorded at Malkangiri and the lowest minimum temperature of 9.5 degree Celsius was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha.
Meanwhile, the Special Relief Commissioner of Odisha Government has issued advisory to District Collectors asking them to regulate vehicular traffic on the highways to prevent any road mishap during dense fog.
