The incident which took place on March 3 came to light on Saturday after the victim approached Mahila Police and then Bharatpur Police in connection with the incident.
As per the complaint, the 17-year-old actress who happens to be a resident of Banapur area of Khurda visited the State Capital on March 3 to shoot for a video album in which she was offered the lead role. However, after shooting the crew members take rest at a rented house in Bharatpur area.
During the rented house stay, the accused Suraj Samal raped her throughout the night. Suraj was helped by his aide Bishnu in committing the crime, adds the complaint lodged by the victim’s family which has been lodged at Bharatpur Police Station.
Police have launched an investigation into the matter after sending the actress for medical check-up.
The accused duo is absconding.
