According to information, one Debendra Samal had sexually assaulted a nine-year-old girl in Lalbag police station area in the millennium city on April 29, 2019. He had allured the girl with a chocolate and taken her to a secluded place where he sexually assaulted her.
On the complaint of the victim’s parents, the Lalbag police conducted investigation.
Taking police investigations and version of witnesses, the court convicted Debendra in the ghastly crime. The victim would undergo another term of six months’ jail if fails to pay the fine, said the court.
