Angul, Dec 14: Police arrested at least five persons in Sandhar village under Pallahara Police Station on Monday for murdering a local resident over past enmity.
The deceased identified as Sira Mundari remained missing for last three days before his body was found from a forested area last evening.
As per the family members of Sira, the accused namely Saina Mundari came to his home on December 11 evening. Later, Saina took the victim out of his home in some work.
As Sira didn’t return home in the same night and the accused failed to give details about the former’s whereabouts, his family members lodged a missing case at Pallahara Police Station in the next morning suspecting Saina's role in the same.
In the complaint the deceased’s family also claimed it to be a case of revenge killing over past enmity.
After recovery of the body of the deceased, police took four more persons into custody suspecting their involvement in the murder.
