The deceased has been identified as Bhagabat Das of Kundala village under the Patana police limits in the district.
According to information, Bhagabat had been missing for about a week. Family members had lodged a complaint with the Patana police in this regard. With recovery of his body from a distant jungle, many have suspected the incident to be case of murder.
The police have started investigation after sending the body for post-mortem.
