She opposed absence of Minister of State for Home, DGP and ACS/Special Secretary, Home at the airport during arrival of the Union Home Minister.
“With a very heavy heart I am to inform you that neither the Minister of State (Home) nor ACS/Principal Secretary to Home Department, nor Director General of Police was present to pay respect to the Union Home Minister and to receive him at the Airport,” Sarangi wrote adding, “It is surprising that the State Government behaved in such a callous manner. The kind of behaviour reflects the culture of an institution. Is this right?”
She hoped that the CMO office would appropriate instruction so that such actions will not be repeated.
Sarangi also took to the Twitter and posted her protest.
Meanwhile, BJD leader Dr Lenin Mohanty refuted her charge stating that due protocol has been extended to the Union Minister as per provisions.
