Party supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik tops the star campaigners’ list. Other prominent campaigners include Pranab Prakash Das, Debi Prasad Mishra, Prasanna Acharya, Niranjan Pujari, Arun Sahoo and Pratap Jena.
It may be noted that the BJP had announced star campaigners’ list two days back. Five Union Ministers- Piyush Goel, Dharmendra Pradhan, Pralhad Joshi, Ashwini Vaishnaw and Biseswar Tudu and more than two dozens of senior and energetic leaders, will campaign for BJP candidate Radharani Panda.
The Brajarajnagar Assembly seat in Jharsuguda district is scheduled to go to by-election on May 31. It is likely to witness a triangular fight among BJD’s Alaka Mohanty, BJP’s Radharani Panda and Congress’ Kishore Chandra Patel.
The by-poll has been necessitated due to demise of sitting MLA Kishore Mohanty. BJD candidate Alaka Mohanty is the widow of late Kishore Mohanty.
