Pradhan said Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has given all information and assurances to him in this regard.
“Spoke to my senior cabinet colleague Dr Harsh Vardhanji regarding the panic being created by Odisha Government regarding availability of Covid19 vaccines in Odisha. Dr Harsh vardhan ji assured me that there is no dearth of availability of doses of #Covid19 vaccines,” tweeted the Union Minister.
He too informed that the Union Health Minister told him that Odisha has been provided with 34.46 lakh doses of Covid19 vaccine so far, out of which only around 23 lakh does have been administered. Odisha will also receive additional 5.50 lakh doses on March 28.
“I have been informed that Odisha has sufficient balance of Covid19 doses and that PM Narendra Modi Government is committed to accelerate the Largest Vaccination Drive,” tweeted Pradhan again.
There will be no shortage of vaccines in Odisha or anywhere in the country, he said.
It may be noted that Odisha Health and Family Welfare ACS had yesterday sought a letter to the Union Health Secretary seeking supply of Covid vaccines for 15 days in advance. He had mentioned that Odsiha was behind other States in Covid vaccination due to erratic supply of vaccines.
