SOP is being strictly followed in schools and directions have been issued to send medical teams wherever it is necessary, Dash added.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Naba Kishore Das informed that the Odisha Government is fully prepared to address any threat from the Omicron variant and is taking necessary steps to ensure it does not spread in the State.
Worth mentioning, as many as 380 passengers from Omicron 'at-risk' countries arrived in Odisha. It has been made mandatory that all passengers arriving from the foreign countries will have to undergo RT-PCR test before entering the State.
Those found positive will immediately be sent to isolation and the swab samples will be sent for genome sequencing.
