Karanjia, Feb 14: Father of slain Rama Devi University student Jharaphula Nayak fell ill reportedly after remaining shocked over her death and unravelling of reason for about 19 days.
According to reports, Ramakant Nayak , father of Jharafula, got a high blood pressure and was admitted to the Shukruli hospital.
The doctor who treated him said Ramakant got a high BP and has become weak. After a development is marked in his health condition, Ramakant will be referred for higher treatment, he said.
It may be noted that the body of Jharaphula was found on roadside under mysterious circumstances at Mulapala under Kuakhia police limits in Jajpur district on January 27.
After primary investigations, it was revealed that two youths had taken the body from Bhubaneswar on a scooter and dumped it on the roadside. Jharaphula, who hailed from Marundeipasi village under Jashipur police limits in Mayurbhanj district, was a +3 second year student of the RD University.
While the main accused, identified as Rakesh Swain, has been arrested, the police have not been able to arrest the second accused, Sekhar, and unravel the reason behind her death yet.
