The fresh cases included 342 children in the age group of 0-18 years, according to the data tweeted by the Information and Public Relations Department this morning. The data revealed that 897 cases were reported from among the quarantined people and the rest 642 infections detected as local contacts.
Among the districts, Khurda reported highest 223 cases, followed by Sundergarh 124, Angul 119, Cuttack 85, Rayagada 75, Koraput 72, Sambalpur 65, Ganjam 55, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj 53 each, Jajpur 50, Gajapati 44, Balasore 40, Deogarh 37, Nayagarh 36, Jagatsinghpur and Kalahandi 35 each, Puri 33, Boudh 27, Nuapada 26, Bhadrak 25, Bargarh 23, Kandhmal 20, Sonepur 17, Dhenkanal 11, Bolangir 10 and Malkangiri 1.
Besides, 52 more cases were reported from the State Pool.
During the period, 1483 infected persons recovered, taking the State’s total recoveries to 12,53,914. Active cases stood at 13,285 as on Saturday, the department said.
