Bhubaneshwar Feb 17: The Budget session of the Odisha Assembly will commence on February 18 and continue in two phases till April 9, informed Assembly speaker Surjya Narayan Patro.
The State budget will be presented on February 22, he added.
The Speaker has convened an all-party meeting today. He will reportedly seek the support of political parties to ensure smooth functioning of the House.
Meanwhile, security has been beefed up around the State Assembly for the Budget session.
Over 25 platoons of police force will be deployed around at Assembly, Lok Seva Bhawan and Lower PMG during the session and more security personnel will be present in the high security zone, sources said.
