Bhubaneswar, Dec 23: Odisha Chief Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy has been allowed to retire from government service with effect from December 31, 2020, on attaining the age of superannuation, a notification said on Wednesday.
“Asit Kumar Tripathy, IAS (RR-86), Chief Secretary and Chief Development Commissioner, Odisha and Secretary to Government, GA & PG Department is allowed to retire from Government service with effect from 31.12.2020 on attaining the age of superannuation,” said a notification, issued by the General Administration and Public Grievances (GA & PG) Department.
Tripathy, a 1986-batch IAS officer, was appointed as the Chief Secretary in August last year. Previously, he had served as Home Secretary, Development Commissioner and Chief Administrator of KBK districts.
A native of Balangir district, Tripathy is the 43rd Chief Secretary of the State.
